Hi, I’m Barry.
Since 2003, I have been helping small businesses, social enterprises and community groups to grow.
I deliver practical marketing mentoring and learning-by-doing training.
I am low on jargon and high on practicality, proposing real, measurable actions you can take to reach your goals. You will never hear me utter meaningless marketing-speak.
With 13 years of real-world marketing management, before becoming a mentor 19 years ago, I know what I’m talking about. Suggested goals, strategies and actions have one main aim : to help you grow your business or progress your community project or group.
I also run a second, seasonal business, where I put into practice what I’m training others in.
Prior to becoming a mentor, I was Sales and Marketing Manager with an indigenous Irish exporting manufacturer for 8 years. Before that, I was General Manager of a French exporting agrifood business for 5 years.
I’ve developed marketing strategies, introduced new products to new markets, designed on- and offline promotional strategies and put them into action. I’ve exported to over 15 countries, built distribution channels from scratch and driven pricing strategies. I’ve prepared and exhibited at trade and consumer shows throughout Europe and the USA, managed and marketed events and much more.
